PVC Credit in Green Star
PVC Credit in Green Star - Vinyl Council Australia
| A revised PVC Credit in the Green Star building rating tool has been released following an extensive 18 month review by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). From 7 April 2010, the new PVC Credit permits PVC products in Green Star projects in its most common applications - pipe, fittings and conduit, cable, flooring and resilient wall coverings - that achieve best practice performance in the life cycle of the product. All other PVC applications can be specified in future Green Star projects without discrimination, however they will not be eligible to earn points. |
| Green Star projects registered before the 7 April 2010 have the option to use either the old Green Star PVC Minimisation Credit or the new Credit. Any projects registered after the 7 April must use the new PVC Credit. A register of Green Star compliant PVC products will be developed and published on this website in due course. To identify product manufacturers eligible to verify PVC products under the new Credit, go to Find Products. |
